Though we live in an enlightened age and the subject of sexuality is on everyone's tongue and mind almost daily, there still seems to be a lack of understanding and raised brows, when I talk about my work.
With the following information I hope to clear up some misunderstandings about Tantra and hope this may lead to a better understand of this type of work. Tantra is a very old, oriental science the aim of which is to reach spiritual enlightening or rather to touch the roots of one's own identity. It's all about allowing things and letting go of judgment. To experience the whole spectrum of emotions without dividing them into good or bad, and to love one's whole body in all its beauty and purity without accentuating nor neglecting certain areas; to combine in union the masculine and feminine sides within. The tantric ritual confronts us with the truth, with who we really are. We are being invited to allow ourselves to delve into the whole spectrum of our emotions without judgment. Naturally, part of this is also sensuality, playfulness, ecstasy and our sexuality. In today's society it is these feelings that are being suppressed or tabooed. The tantric massage activates the life energy, the sexual energy and the love for life and at the same time the balance between body, mind and soul. The result is to return to the here and now as a balanced, happy person. During the tantric massage the intimate area is also gently touched, but no special emphasis is given to this area nor will it be neglected. Feelings created by these touches must be looked at as something natural, and the sexual energy resulting from this should be experienced as life energy, that flows back into each cell of one's body. Unfortunately, nowadays even the erotic business and hobby masseurs offer Tantra. This usually has nothing to do with the original Tantra, but is merely an erotic full body massage, the purpose of which is to quickly reach the climax and to just satisfy their sex drive. This is the reason why the term "Tantra" has developed so many prejudices.
